TMJ TREATMENT

Your temporomandibular joints (TMJs) are the complicated joints that allow your jaw to move so freely. Unfortunately, because these joints are used so frequently, they are prone to injury. The surrounding soft tissues may also become inflamed in rare circumstances. Stress, in addition to near-constant usage, is a major contributor to TMD. When you’re stressed or nervous, you may clench your jaw, placing additional strain on your joints.

Eating can be unpleasant if TMJ Disorder is left untreated. In severe circumstances, you may be unable to eat or pick just a small number of foods. This restricted diet may result in malnutrition. TMD therapy might relieve your pain and allow you to consume a wider variety of foods. Tinnitus, or chronic ringing in the ears, can occur if you have a more severe form of TMD. This ringing might make it difficult to hear or sleep at times. The link between the two illnesses is currently being investigated by scientists. Tinnitus has been shown to be relieved with TMJ therapy.
